I would like to personally thank you for your VOTE and your support.  During the campaign, I was able to share my ideas, experience and enthusiasm with Charlotte and its citizens.  The core vision of my campaign was rooted in the strengthening and preservation our neighborhoods, promoting job creation and retention and improving our quality of life. I truly believe that the future of Charlotte and this region is bright and full of potential.  With your help, I completed a strong race and ended victoriously, amassing over 50,000 votes.

Thanks again for your donations and support as we learn from the past and build for Charlotte’s future.  Together, we can fulfill the glorious promise of this vibrant community.

Over the past 20 years, I’ve proven my commitment to Charlotte in a variety of ways. In addition to assuming various leadership roles within the community, I’ve actively participated on church and non-profit boards and committees that have included the Planning Commission, the Mecklenburg Human Services Council and the Environmental Policy Coordinating Committee. In each case, I was honored to serve — and help shape the future of — this great city. That’s why, after much prayer, advice and counsel, I decided to offer myself as a candidate for Charlotte City Council At-Large.

During my tenure as city councilperson, I will be completely dedicated to addressing the unique needs of Charlotte and its citizens. My primary goals are to:

1. Strengthen and preserve our neighborhoods
2. Support efforts to create new jobs and promote job retention
3. Improve the quality of life for all of our citizens by promoting public safety, improved air quality, accessible and amenable transportation options, better conditions for the elderly and other strong community minded initiatives

By achieving these goals, we will be optimally positioned to take advantage of the new opportunities that will invariably arise once our nation’s current economic challenges subside.

Charlotte’s future is bright and full of potential. I believe that my vision, thoughts and ideas can help more fully bring that potential to fruition.
